- We play every first and third Sunday of the month at 2:00 p.m. on the three petanque courts in Girard Park, at the northeast corner of the park across Girard Park Lane from the UL Alumni House. See our Google Map here. Lafayette is about 100 miles west of New Orleans, near the intersection of I-10 and I-49.
- The club was formerly called "La Boule Cadienne de Lafayette".
- Michael Leblanc (club president) learned to play from Bernard de Reynies, who grew up playing petanque in the South of France. They began a monthly picnic for Alliance Francaise de Lafayette, with petanque as a social activity, in 2007.
- Each year the club holds an international tournament.
