Seattle (Eastlake ) - Independent Petanque Club of EastlakeEdit

  • Eastlake is a neighborhood in Seattle, Washington, so named because of its location on the eastern shore of Lake Union.
  • Eastlake Boulodrome Park (map) was created in 2006. Using 100-year-old granite curbs recycled from the city of Seattle (Pioneer Square) and pitching mound material from the Seattle Mariners (Safeco Field), local residents and friends devoted hundreds of labor hours over a period of six weekends to creating the petanque playing area. A memorial bench was installed for a neighborhood resident. Total project cost was $15,000, provided by the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods' Neighborhood Matching Fund.
